Model Context Protocol provides a shared interface for agents and tools. Our planned support would connect agents to workflows under the platform’s controls.
MCP support is on the roadmap and is not available today. There is no announced release date. Today, build interactively with Otto and run published workflows on the monitored runtime.
What is MCP?
Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard, originally from Anthropic, that gives AI agents a consistent, secure way to connect to external systems, data, and capabilities.
Instead of writing custom code for every tool, agents speak one standardized interface. They can discover what's available, understand what it does, and use it safely, with the right permissions and context. Think of it as the universal connector for the age of agents.
Why ParsePilot is adding MCP support
Automation requirements reflect how real businesses operate: the tools your business or clients use, the edge cases that matter, and what "reliable" really means. That ground truth is exactly what agents need. By exposing those automations through MCP:
- Planned: agents could discover and trigger workflows built on ParsePilot.
- The design would build on workspace isolation, access controls, and audit trails. Final MCP capabilities are not yet available.
- Today, Otto helps draft workflows interactively for you to review and publish. Agent access through MCP remains on the roadmap.
Workspace isolation, access controls, and audit history provide a starting point for the planned interface. Its final behavior will be confirmed when available.

MCP is not available today. Continue using Otto interactively and operating published workflows through the current platform.
