Built for agents

MCP Support

Making ParsePilot automations usable by the intelligent agents that will run tomorrow's operations.

AI agents are quickly becoming a real way work gets done. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is the emerging standard that lets those agents reliably discover, understand, and use tools and automations — the same way USB-C standardized how devices connect.

We're building MCP support so the production-grade automations we create for you today can be discovered and composed by agents tomorrow — with the same monitoring, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop guardrails you already rely on.

The standard

What is MCP?

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard, originally from Anthropic, that gives AI agents a consistent, secure way to connect to external systems, data, and capabilities.

Instead of writing custom code for every tool, agents speak one standardized interface. They can discover what's available, understand what it does, and use it safely — with the right permissions and context. Think of it as the universal connector for the age of agents.

Why we're building it

Why ParsePilot is adding MCP support

We already learn how real businesses operate by building and running automations every day. That ground truth — the tools you actually use, the edge cases that matter, and what "reliable" really means — is exactly what agents need. By exposing our automations through MCP:

  • Agents can discover and trigger the same high-quality workflows we build for your team.
  • The same monitoring, audit trails, error recovery, and human-in-the-loop approvals still apply.
  • Otto can design, deploy, and orchestrate automations that agents are able to use directly.

The done-for-you service doesn't disappear — it becomes the foundation and the safety net that both people and agents can rely on.

The automations stay the same — MCP just widens who can safely use them

Today

Human teams & Otto

We build, run, and maintain your production-grade automations, with guardrails built in.

Tomorrow

MCP interface

One consistent, governed way to discover and trigger those same automations.

Agents

Intelligent agents use them too — under the same controls and approvals.

For your team

What this means for you

Even if you're not using agents today, MCP support future-proofs your automations:

  • Your workflows become composable building blocks that intelligent systems can use safely.
  • You keep control and governance over what any agent is allowed to access.
  • Human operators and agents work from the same reliable foundation.

It's a natural extension of how we already think about production-grade automation — reliable by design, with domain expertise and guardrails built in.

Where this stands

Current status

We're actively planning MCP support as part of Otto and our broader automation platform. If you're exploring agentic workflows — or simply want your automations ready for the next generation of intelligent systems — let's talk about how ParsePilot can support that direction.

Common questions

MCP, answered.

What MCP support means for your team, your automations, and your data.

Do I need to use agents to benefit from this?

No. MCP support is about future-proofing. The automations we build work for your human team today; MCP simply makes the same workflows available to agents when you're ready for them — without rebuilding anything.

How does security work with MCP?

The same way it does across ParsePilot: role-based access, encrypted storage, audit logs, and human-in-the-loop approvals. Agents only get access to what you explicitly allow, and every action is monitored.

Is MCP support available today?

Not yet. We're actively planning it as part of Otto and our platform roadmap. If it's important to your plans, tell us — it helps us prioritize.

Will this change the automations you have already built for us?

No. MCP is an additional, standardized way to reach existing workflows. Your current automations keep running exactly as they do now.

What is Otto's role here?

Otto is our intelligent automation assistant. It designs and deploys automations with the same guardrails a ParsePilot engineer would apply — and it is the natural place for MCP-exposed workflows to be orchestrated for both people and agents.
